Baloo was a sloth bear, and Bagheera was a melanistic Indian leopard who once roamed the wonderful land of Nagarhole National Park. The duo, made famous by Rudyard Kipling's novel and the child-friendly movie adaptation from Disney, The Jungle Book, had stopped getting along. The two mammals violently fought for reasons unknown.
Baloo had been sniffing for termites, and Bagheera must've been starving, so he charged towards the bear hopefully to eat his friend for supper. Baloo's tongue had been nearly ripped off, and Bagheera had even been manually castrated by the beast. The bear's nose had been ripped off, and so did the panther's ears. Both however dropped dead when Mr. Ophiophagus, a king cobra, happened to sink his fangs into both beasts.
